The mess of politics in Allerdale

Just before all this Covid19 mess started another mess has happened over in Allerdale were through actions that went against correct procedure and collusion with a political group an elected councillor was kicked out of his seat.

I have no illusions that Allerdale council is as corrupt as they come and the changes to local government can not come soon enough.

Let’s just hope with the new council comes with an all change.

Having watched a number of Allerdale council meetings over the last year 2/5

They appear just as toxic and politically driven rather than putting the community they serve first.

I feel sorry for any candidate standing that gets elected to Allerdale council in the by-elections in the area this year firstly with such a toxic Council as the first

experience of the role and secondly the fact they are in a lame duck seat as the council will be gone in 2 years and next year will see fresh elections for the new unitary council that will take over in 2023 Crossed fingers

To Allerdale council know this we are watching your every move from Cllrs getting contracts to supply services to the actions of individuals.

The list is growing and the time is coming that the going’s on in Allerdale Council will be known by all.
