An ode to Eden Council on its final days

Oh Eden Council, how you leave us in dismay.

Oh Eden Council, how you leave us in dismay

As you come to the end of your final day

For too many years, you failed to do what's right

And now you leave us in a hopeless plight with 

Voreda House still and ugly building site.

You were once the guardians of our town and villages

But now your reputation is forever cast down

You failed to listen to our calls for change

And ignored our needs, year after year.

Your decisions of late tainted through delusional leadership

And incompetence has led to great misdeed

You wasted taxpayers' money without a care

And left our town in a state of despair

You failed to maintain our streets and our parks

And turned a blind eye to the damage caused by the dark

You ignored our pleas to address the growing need

And left us to suffer from the neglect of our seed

You were supposed to be the protectors of our rights

But instead, you allowed the towns and villages to suffer from blights

You neglected your duty, and now you leave us to pay

For the many mistakes that you made day by day

So farewell, Eden Council, and do not look back

For your actions have left us in a dire lack

We hope that the new council that comes in your stead

Will learn from your mistakes, and bring back what is dead.
