Dont go down the rabbit hole

Don't fall down the rabbit hole of conspiracy and the web it weaves in society.

The last 12 months have not just been a global health social and economic impact event that has reshaped the world in a way and at speeds not seen by many alive before.

In many non-health areas, the pandemic over the last year has amplified trends that were already happening and acted a catalyst for others.

Alongside the amplified good that have evolved with the rekindled sense of community and society the world has also see a massive amplification and ramping up of the darker world of conspiracy and anti-society emerge into mainstream society and daily lives of millions across the globe.

The anti-establishment, covid conspiracy anti vax conspiracy machine has been in overdrive through 2020 and continues into 2021 but people are starting to wake up to this emerging threat of conspiracy and the risks to society it brings.

Conspiracy has been around almost as long as society has existed in one form or another.

An on some levels the world we live in has been shaped on them not through choice by many but by subconscious lack of questioning of what we are told by others.

An example could be at election time we hear the messages of the political parties and alongside that we now in the digital era get bombarded with massive amounts of digital messages for and against the messages we hear from the political parties and groups. Very quickly a single comment now cam be amplified to the levels of the accepted position and normal for society to view an issue or subject.

Back to covid the narrative of the conspiracy of the "establishment" was very quick to establish itself and pull into the dark world it created other outlying conspiracy theory as part of it.

The concerns of some around the new 5G technology was an example where a conspiracy about the new technology was already in circulation and been exploited became a key part of the Covid conspiracy that was emerging.

This amplified the covid conspiracy message and resulted in focused attacks on infrastructure in the name of anti-establishment covid conspiracy.

The big tool used by those who weave the web of conspiracy is fear and the unknown.

The pandemic has been for the conspiracy authors an opportunity to exploit the verbality of a global audience thrust into an unknown position not seen by society for generations for most alive today a situation never experienced.

The power of social media to threat conspiracy into daily life and events has amplified and spready the conspiracy messages globally in seconds.

This is nothing new we have seen it used in conspiracy for years but the need for massive social change almost overnight that created a vacuum of the unknown and fear for what was happening to allow conspiracy to crack over the normal shell of reality and pour in to our daily world the silent whispers of fake facts and news alongside conspiracy and misinformation that as blurred reality for millions to the point that the message of fact put out quickly is twisted into conspiracy and threats that the "establishment" are not doing right by the citizens. this is used to stir up fear and hate that we have seen in the streets with protest and acts against the measures needed to fight this war against our silent enemy called covid19

Back in the 1930-1940's the world had an enemy we could see and fight, yet they also used propaganda and conspiracy against us only back then we had a mane for those who acted against the good of society they were fifth Columnist A secret subversive group that works against a country or organization from the inside, as in The government feared that there was a fifth column working to oppose its policies during the crisis.

Today the dangers we face are not bombs and bullets from a hostile nation the dangers is our own mind that allows the whispers and false information to mingle in the space created by fear and the unknown and our failure to seek out fact and truth as individuals because we have grown accustom to a comfortable space of things always been as they are and just plodding along we cast votes each election many for the same people their parents voted for without question then when things go wrong shout down the very people we have cast votes for.

We have allowed the conspiracy theory weavers to enter our world and do not questioned challenge just the same by allowing the fake news to become part of reality because it’s just as easy to always just accept rather than question.

The rabbit hole of conspiracy theory and the world it creates is one that can only lead to society facing a dark future if the cycle is not broken.

Just like voting for the same party at election time because that's what we have always done, or our parents have always done is not true democracy it’s a conspiracy on a different level because it’s become generationally engrained in society to the point it's accepted as the normal thing by many to just tick the box because we always have done that.

Likewise there are many who have not been convinced through conspiracy that their vote does not count the establishment will just put in who they want line that has again been pushed on the world through those who seek to control through the dark web of conspiracy.

The rabbit hole is one that is easy to fall into without even realising it and it just goes down and down and will suck into it more and more.

Right now, the bit conspiracy is around covid because it’s the current issue we all face so the web is woven around the narrative of its false, it's engineered to control the world, the vaccine will link with 5g to control us all the sci fi list goes on.

The simple truth is we live in a world that is like us organic and live and throws us some huge curve balls at times to deal with.

Some find it simple to just jump down the rabbit hole as it offers them the opportunity to not seek out the truth and facts over the story of conspiracy delivered to them in a tidy digital news feed.

Eventually the rabbit hole will have a bottom to hit hard into with the thud of reality.

Society needs to climb out the rabbit hole and fill them in fact not fiction, take charge of our own minds and not let the weavers of the web of conspiracy control the minds of society and be the authors of it's down fall.
